Christine Shippey: President and CEO
Mrs. Shippey is the President and CEO of Covenant with Christ International and founder and CEO of Trinity River Food Bank. Serving over 20 years as an Associate Pastor, Praise and Worship leader and Bible teacher her desire is to see others live a transformed and fulfilled life. Christine has served as a volunteer in the Texas Prison system for 14 years and has a passion to help people in need. She is married and has two sons.
Marcella Van Burkleo: Vice President
Ms. Van Burkleo has over 30 years of experience in the medical field. Her career has ranged from surgical assistant to practice management. She graduated from Dental Assisting training in 1981 and has multiple certificates and licenses from radiology to Phlebotomist. Margie’s passion is case management, fueled by her desire to help others. She is currently employed at Texas Emergency Hospital.
Ronald R. Shirley: Board Treasurer
Ronald Ray Shirley II is the President of Shirley and Sons where he has worked for the last 20 years. He graduated from Texas A&M with a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science in 2001. Ron is married and has two children and he serves as the Youth Pastor at Crossway Community Fellowship in Cleveland Texas.
Tara Devon Robertson: Board Secretary
Mrs. Robertson has worked in the public education system for 18 years where she is currently a high school teacher. Tara graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Sam Houston State University in education. She currently serves on Covenant with Christ International’s board as Director of Ministries. She has been married 25 years and has three children.


Sharonda Evans: Operations Assistant/Partner Services
Sharonda Evans was born and raised in Huntsville, Texas and is a graduate of Sam Houston State University and also holds a degree in Biblical Studies and is a recent graduate of the Huntsville Leadership Institute. Sharonda has had the opportunity to work with youth in a number of different capacities and She has been involved in missions trips to Africa for several years.
